Check Out Kim Stanwood Terranova’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kim Stanwood Terranova.

Hi Kim, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
It has been said that we are either pushed by pain or pulled by vision, and I was pushed before pulled.

In my early twenties, I was aware that my curiosity for understanding more of how human expansion evolved and what was possible in this life experience was pushing at my heart. I longed to have conversations with people who had my curiosities, and I could not find my tribe. The pain of feeling alone was deep, and I felt completely misunderstood and quite lost. By the grace of a walking miracle, I was led to a spiritual center in Oakland that spoke my language. All-inclusive, accepting of all beliefs, and teaching the wisdom that we had the power to create our lives consciously. I embarked on my journey of deep spiritual study.

After college, I landed in Los Angeles and sought out my next teacher and place to study. By divine direction, I found the Agape International Spiritual Center, led by Michael Bernard Beckwith. From that moment onward, I never looked back. I felt at home; I found my tribe. I studied and learned. I dove deeper into the meaning of conscious creation, and the more I learned, the more I implemented it into my life. Soon, I earned my license as an Agape Practitioner. My excitement jumped me into opening my office doors and seeing clients immediately. That was 27 years ago, and my client list has doubled, tripled, and quadrupled for decades. My gratitude is immense.

During these past 27 years, I have been blessed to also be the Spiritual Director at numerous Malibu treatment centers, and many of my clients in recovery have found the power of building spiritual practices into their path of sobriety with amazing results. The tools work, and the practices change lives. My counseling has grown to where I work with couples, families, teenagers, organizations, retreat centers, and many corporations.

In 2020 my first book was released and soon became a three times best seller, the title THE TECHNOLOGY OF INTENTION, Activating the Power of the Universe Within You! It is currently available on audio as well as paperback.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been more like a roller coaster ride of adventure. Many ups and downs and all of it I am grateful for. I can absolutely say that my career expansion has not been a struggle; it has been a blissful joy because my teachers and family have seen the full manifestation of my journey even before I did. Their vision kept me moving forward when the blocks of life created temporary challenges.

Certain life challenges made the road very bumpy over the years. Family changes brought about heartache, and my children needed extra support. We moved through change, activating all the tools in our tool belt. Then in 2018 our home was burned to the ground in the southern California fires. Suddenly my children and I had no home, clothes, and nothing left that resembled the life we knew. As well as my office being on the property, our land also had a retreat center for events and weddings, and everything came to a halt. I had no office to see my clients and there seemed to only be blocks on the path to rebuild. I can honestly say it was a very dark and hard time. My practice to live what I know, always living what I teach, those tools got me through. The tools of our practices pulled us through the darkness, and our deep love for each other held us afloat along the way.

(Five years later, only in the last month, we have entered back into our new home, rebuilt on the land we love!)

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I have overwhelming gratitude that I found the place to be of service that makes my heart sing. Rather than call it “work” it is simply my intention to be of service to humanity. An intention I have had from a very young age.

As an International Thought Leader, Key Note Speaker, Author and Spiritual Counselor, I am honored to walk with people and assist them to live awakened lives. I have the pure joy of speaking with large audiences or with clients, either one-on-one, families, and couples, and guiding them on pathways of deep healing and profound joy and success. I know the unlimited possibilities that are available to individuals when they are creating their lives by intention, and it is my biggest intention to assist people to create powerful lives!

I am eternally grateful that I have cultivated an ability for deep, discerning listening. When working with my clients, as I listen to them, I simultaneously listen to divine guidance from the Spirit. The guidance I receive from Spirit, others may call God, Source, or Universal Presence. I honor each person’s individual choice of what they name this power. I choose to be present to the intuitive voice that comes and guides people back through a path of healing so they can be the place of self-love and consistently show up in their lives in a conscious way. My intention is to pay close attention to what is being said and what is not being said, yet possibly living under the words. I believe all path of healing begins with listening, and listening with a compassionate heart. As one listens with compassion and non-judgment, the door of deep understanding opens wide to depths of vulnerability and expansion that heal hearts.

When working with my clients, I always lead them back to the divine wisdom within them. We each came equipped with a brilliant and wise inner guidance system, I invite them to begin to apply tools, practices that honor their beliefs, their lives and that bring them back to center in the midst of a very full world. Such tools begin with (and not limited to) meditation, prayer, intention work, affirmation, breath work, yoga, conscious communication practices, nature, visioning, and so much more. The list of practices we begin to embody is endless, and the practice is what changes our lives. My motto: “You practice your practice until your life is your practice.” With every breath, I live my life in bold, intentional practice. This is where miracles unfold, and full-throttle manifestation lives on a continual train of beautiful transformation.

For many years I have led retreats in the Malibu mountains and other areas of the US, and most recently my teachings have taken me to now be one of the lead teachers at the Rythmia Life Advancement Center in Costa Rica. I have the blessing of working with people from all over the world as they go deeper on a path of unstoppable bliss and expansion to live the life they may only once have dreamed about. My journey often takes me from the Malibu mountains to Costa Rica and all over the world as I accept the call to assist others as they unfold! What I know is that as we walk with each other, holding the light of truth for one another, we create a world where all are honored, supported, and lifted to their greatest destiny. My heart is full, and I am honored and grateful for every breath.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I still ride my Harley on occasion. I have a thing for dirt bikes and Harleys; some of my best meditations have occurred on the seat of my bike.

I am the founder of a non-profit organization called WORLD AS ONE. This organization is committed to bringing peace principles of global oneness to the world with a curriculum for the youth of the world. We are in the midst of launching a global project that is aimed with the intention of awakening humanity.

Also, I believe in magic everywhere and know that magical things can occur at any moment. I welcome them.
