Meet Christian Pimentel

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christian Pimentel.

Hi Christian, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Christian P also known as ChrishnaDaGod. I have been doing photography for about seven years now. It all started back in my Senior high school. I wanted a small camera to capture the last moments in high school with my friends.

I didn’t receive my first professional camera (Canon T6) until my sophomore year in college. I didn’t take it seriously at first until a couple of my friends said to me, “Hey, you pretty good with the camera”. When that happened, in my mind, I thought of my uncle, who had been a photographer all my life.

I started to study the art of photography, the details and features my camera had and overall exploring my creative mindset. I started reaching out to models, artists, and whoever else wanted some pictures taken. The more and more pictures I took, the better I was getting, and I saw my growth from when I first started.

Now I’m going to pursue photography full-time. I’m starting to tap into the paparazzi world for a fashion week, and I’m also starting to work with high-end clients and models.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it isn’t been a smooth road, but it’s definitely worth the ride. Some struggle I faced and still face to this day is getting people to respect me, my time and my work ethic. A lot of people think photography is just pushing a button, but they don’t understand the amount of work, time, and patience we deal with.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I don’t try to specialize in one thing when it comes to photography. I like to keep my mind open and try new things. At the moment, I’m known for fashion, street style, and editorial work.

I’m proud of how far I’ve come and all the connections I made. Overall I’m proud to see my work on artists or celebrities pages: Teyana Taylor, Karrueche Tran, Tokyo Vanity, etc.

What sets me apart from others is my height and my ability to create on the fly.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
LA is my second home. I love how chill everything is out there. I love the weather, beaches, food, and art in LA.

The homelessness in LA can be a little depressing to see because the city is so beautiful.

• $600, 3 hours, 6 outfits, 30 edits
• Events: parties, sweet 16, club appearances $125 an hour
• Weddings: starts off at $500 then goes on from there
