Meet Norris Duckett III of Norris Photography

Today we’d like to introduce you to Norris Duckett III.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Norris. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Starting Norris Photography was very nerve wracking, I had no idea what I was doing, I had only purpose which was I love documenting and creating moments, and I need to provide a living for my family. At that point I made sure I went to college and received an education in the skill set I love while running Norris Photography.

And believe me every day was a learning day is an understatement more like every hour I learned multiple things while making actions molding Norris Photography direction.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The journey to be where Norris Photography is now has been full of challenges, and these challenges are what brought Norris Photography this far, for instance one day I used some of my photography gear and after a long photo session everything was packed away and ready to go for this particular and my camera bag ready to go. Once I arrived home my family was sleep, and I was so exhausted I fell asleep on top of the bed with my shoes on. In mid sleep I woke up in a panic because I hadn’t transferred and backed up the photos; running to the car I grabbed my bag and everything in it fell to the ground. Needless to say I was speechless, immediately I went to my desktop to back up the files and make sure I at the very least had that. Let’s just say that was one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in photography, because I just broke thousands of dollars of equipment, and didn’t own insurance. To me this means it all matters the time, skill, equipment, etc. just the level of priority varies. From that point on I adjusted my habits and workflow procedures. Looking back on it now it’s funny because that was a rookie move.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Within Norris Photography, I have many roles such marketing, website management, paying attention to the newest tech and trends. I specialize in portraiture and documentary style photography while continuously working on this obsession I call Krump Life. Here at Norris Photography what’s most important is our client’s opinion, this is what sets us apart quality can be hard to find it’s also about the experience the clients are offered through my personality and punctuality with delivery.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was very reserved but very talkative once we got to know one another. And I’ve always been interested in the entertainment industry especially the commercial photography always looking at magazines when my family would visit the store. Also picking up on Clown and Krump dancing during lunch time.
