Today we’d like to introduce you to Jay Arlington.

Jay Arlington

Jay, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
With one chapter closed and a brand new one lies ahead, woke up this morning feeling blessed and grateful to make it another 365 around this earth, present June month. Growing up in the City Of Angeles, born in 1997 on June 20th, I was born and raised on 30th St and Arlington Jefferson Park District. Grew up struggling with a single mom and two siblings opened into a path provided a route for me to the streets to get money. Everything conducted me to jail for four years. How does Jay Arlington rock his Music Artistry as a Hip-Hop recording artist. I’ve learned to just let life take its course. An enterprising mind is a powerful one and I’m undertaking giving it one’s best shot making every great effort astute. You can bet on it, I’m standing in truth with my voice needs to be louder wanna express everything in my music. Now I move with purpose, with conscious decisions leading the way! Above it all, Completely blessed, grateful, and thankful for my son and my family. It’s such an honor to be the grandson of Motown’s Queen Mary Wells and the son of Meech Wells, Music Producer. Huge shoutouts to my pops for always just supporting and being my mentor and my big bro Sean Wells, Music Producer, for his support as well.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t been an easy path for myself. Living is such a blessing, giving thanks to God just for showing me how to stay focused and loyalty to my integrity character which has given such an honorable truth, especially with the challenges I’ve learned to accept and had to experience facing the reality inside my own life purposes being in jail for four years. Previously I spent my four years in jail, I really thought I was going to lose my hope for the best years ahead. My son is my first priority, then family. The challenges that I personally had to overcome was just believing in myself knowing the careful thought in my very own reflection needs to change some parts of my own reality in a constructive way so that I can be the illustrious monumental dad to my son, teaching him precisely guidance to do things correctly.

My journey has really came a long way since I truly opened up my heart to music writing down everything in feeling my own concede pain on how I lost four years from my life to the jail system. Yo for that moment all I can say was Damn, I have a voice to be heard through my music and I truly have an amazing story to share. I just need one more chance to show the world what I can execute with my music, hopefully one day someone just notice my virtue and give me the opportunity to share my very own story through my music at the Music Festivals and the Film Movie Screens. So staying out of jail minding my very own business with excellence music in studio sessions are really good and changing my entire life around in a motivational way.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Prayers are powerful. Character is the answer for me. Goodness is about character. Never giving up, I work harder than people expect. Since my release from jail, I had to focus on my strength to move myself to where I know I needed to be. I stay true to my life journey, never forgetting my loyalty and trustworthy to everyone who has prayed for me while I was locked up. What people who know me might not know about is my family is one of the main reasons why I am truly blessed with my music artistry career. I am the grandson of Motown Queen Mary Wells. My journey to live a purpose-directed life is moving with understanding in dealing with others and what they are facing is the conversing I shared with my pops Meech Wells. My pops progression success as one of Snoop’s producers has shown my resolution to can’t stop, won’t stop. I’m also appreciative for Uncle Bobby Womack presence in my life. The level of success that gives me a blessing recognition is my mom. Her sacrificing for me and my two siblings paved the way to make sure that we are alright.
