Today we’d like to introduce you to Zoe (Zoeunlimited).
Hi Zoe, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Growing up, I’ve always been a creatively driven person and needed a creative outlet. When the pandemic hit in 2020, I saw this as a once-in-a-lifetime chance to use the saved time from LA traffic to learn editing. From there, I slowly built up a YouTube channel about various topics I’m passionate about, with the core pillar of growth. The community evolved to be a hub for personal growth and critical thinking expressed through video essays to reflect upon current popular culture and through vlogs on my wellness and fitness journey.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It wouldn’t be an adventure if the road was smooth all the way.
I’d say the biggest struggle for me as a creator is that it is a lonely profession no matter how large the community grows to. Finding a group of creator friends who are also passionate about storytelling made the journey so much more fulfilling as we grow together.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a multi-format content creator who amassed an audience of over 2 million on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok while also working as a girl in tech at PayPal Honey.
With a tight-knit Gen Z & millennial female-heavy community passionate about current pop culture, fashion, and ongoing trends discussed in my short and long-form videos, I bring my community along on a journey to improve their health, wellness, and confidence while hustling through adulthood together.
I’m very proud of being able to grow this community from scratch to a space where growth-oriented individuals encourage and support each other to grow and be our better selves; whether it be taking better care of our wellness, relationships or challenging conventional societal standards such as the ever-evolving beauty ideals,
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I think everyone is lucky in their unique way- you just need to be perceptive enough to catch it. What might seem like an unlucky scenario could be a lucky opportunity in disguise. For me- many closed doors felt like a hard stop to my creative career but in an alternative lens were breaks from structural restrictions that would’ve limited my creative freedom. I feel extremely privileged and lucky to have the diverse community I have today with amazing people who are open enough to share their struggles, progress, and accomplishments with me and with each other.
