Hidden Gems: Meet Aline Tran of Send A Miracle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aline Tran.

Hi Aline, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In the beginning of 2022, I went on a life-changing trip to Guatemala where I witnessed widespread poverty for the first time. It was an eye-opening experience, and I got to know the children and families who were suffering. When I returned home, I couldn’t shake off the memory and pain I felt for these children. That’s when I came up with the idea of starting Send A Miracle.

Our first project was to raise funds to provide hundreds of impoverished families with water filtration systems, food, clothing, and toys for the holidays. We raised over $10,500 in less than a month and a half, and the success of the project inspired us to expand our vision. We decided to establish ourselves as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to break the systemic cycle of poverty by building up and empowering communities.

We are achieving our mission through our five-program model. Our programs address the issues of water, food, medical care, education, and employment. We are currently working on our Miracle Water program, which aims to improve access to safe and clean drinking water for communities in need.

We have received a lot of support through social media, and it has been incredible to witness our growth. We are excited to continue making a sustainable impact on the lives of those who need it the most. Our future plans include expanding our programs and reaching more communities in need.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Our journey at Send A Miracle has been full of challenges and obstacles, but it has also been filled with hope and determination. When we first started, we had an incredibly short timeline to execute our vision of helping hundreds of children and families in an impoverished village in Guatemala for the holidays. We were a brand new organization, and many people doubted that we could pull it off. But we refused to let those doubts hold us back.

Our small team worked tirelessly around the clock to create content, fundraise, and organize the entire event, which was thousands of miles away from our home base. It was a daunting task, but we were driven by our passion to make a difference in the lives of those who needed it most.

Despite the challenges, we were able to raise over $10,500 in less than a month and a half. With that money, we provided families with water filtration systems, food, clothing, and toys for the holidays. It was truly a miracle, and for the families in that impoverished village, it was more than just an event. It was a source of hope.

Looking back, I am so proud of what we were able to accomplish. We showed that anything is possible when you have a strong vision and the determination to make it happen. Our success has inspired us to continue on our journey to completely alter the lives of children and families suffering from poverty.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Send A Miracle is a nonprofit organization committed to breaking the systemic cycle of poverty through building up and empowering communities. We specialize in addressing the root causes of poverty by providing sustainable solutions in the areas of water, food, medical care, education, and employment.

What sets us apart from others is our unique approach to addressing poverty. We believe that in order to truly make a difference, we must empower communities to create sustainable change from within. Rather than simply providing aid, we work with local leaders and organizations to identify the specific needs of each community and to develop long-term solutions that will have a lasting impact.

We are most proud of the impact we have made in the lives of those we serve. It is incredible to watch entire communities be transformed. At the end of the day, it is the impact we have on the lives of those we serve that motivates us to keep going. We are humbled by the trust and support of our donors, volunteers, and partners, and we are committed to continuing our mission.

Our brand is built on a foundation of compassion, integrity, and transparency. We are committed to being good stewards of the resources entrusted to us and to operating with the highest level of accountability and transparency.

We want your readers to know that Send A Miracle is more than just a nonprofit organization. We are a movement of people who are passionate about making a difference in the world. Whether through donating, volunteering, or simply spreading the word. Everyone has a role to play in changing the world.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My advice to those just beginning their venture is simple: don’t be afraid and go for it. I truly believe that you can accomplish anything you set your mind to. While there is always a chance of failure, don’t let that overshadow the potential for great success. Your response to failure is what will ultimately determine your success.

One of my professors once said, “Even my grandma has amazing ideas every day, but that doesn’t mean she will become the next Bill Gates.” The difference between success and failure often comes down to follow-through. If you have a goal or idea, don’t hold yourself back. Work towards it and one day you will see the fruits of your labor. Don’t leave your potential untapped – go for it with everything you have.
