Today we’d like to introduce you to Lirit Rosenzweig Topaz.
Lirit, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was a TV and film producer for years but upon moving to LA, I decided to leave live action production. I started a new journey, knowing all along I wanted to own my own production company by the time I turned 30. Eight years ago, I established an online animation school with teachers from the biggest studios in Hollywood educating students from countries around the world. The idea was to bring the knowledge and the high quality of animation and design to potential artists not from the states and to expose them to the most talented artists in the industry—all in their native language.
Then I decided to open an animation production company where I could produce high-quality animation— hiring the best of my former students along with other professional artists from LA and around the world. There are many talented people in the industry, and thanks to my production company headquartered in Burbank I can produce some beautiful work.
Today, I have a team working from our headquarters in Burbank and a team of full-time artists (working only for Neko) located in a variety of places around the world.
I am a big fan of an open communication. I believe that a company is set with the owner’s vision and drive. I am a real go-getter, I believe in always giving 200% and collaborating with great partners and clients. That is exactly how we are at Neko.

Has it been a smooth road?
Like every business in every industry, there are some bumps in the road. For me, the most challenging part was probably the road of learning about the local industry (coming from a different country) and spreading the word about us.
