Today we’d like to introduce you to Alejandra Gomez.
Hi Alejandra, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
In this industry,I began to feel interested in the makeup more as of a necessity instead as an interest. I worked 7 years at a furniture company I ended up managing several stores. I made the decision to take cosmetology courses despite the fact that English was not my first language. My courses were all in English so that was a challenge itself .When I obtained my cosmetology license I knew I needed to obtain more knowledge in the industry. So I began looking for schools regardless of my financial situation and language barrier.Shortly after I started selling accessories to have an income so I could afford my education.Eventually i became very passionate for the beauty industry. I believe God placed every person and situation in my life so that I was able to accomplish all I have and I am grateful for it all.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
At first, it was the money to start studying this career. As I said before that I could get already being in the industry if you encounter many obstacles it is very difficult to be within the artist’s category because the mere fact of being a woman they saw you more doors and to be able to reach an artist if it is a little difficult because there are people who stop you a little but everything is achieved with perseverance and desire to get ahead.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
My career is based more on makeup with Aereografo (airbrush makeup) this makeup if you don’t have the right techniques is a little difficult to work with but understanding the method is the easiest thing in the world. Makeup with an airbrush after the pandemic began to be used more for hygiene since you do not touch people and there is no need to be cleaning brushes. At the moment we have a line of eyelash makeup line and in the future, this is our line of hair extensions. At Bebella Studio we offer makeup classes, styling classes, we offer makeup and styling services, extensions, and we have experts in hair color.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
At the moment, all my struggles and triumphs have been thanks to my perseverance and hard work it definitely paid off. I do get referrals from my clients so that has helped me grow. I also study the Industry so that I am always up to date with the newest trends .My children are my biggest motivation and key to my continuous growth.
