Check Out Lamar Chase’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lamar Chase.

Hi Lamar, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I got my start in music as a part of a music production team out of Atlanta. From there, I started working with major labels including Warner Bros. Records and Universal Music Group. From there, I moved into tv/film, getting a start at TV One. After holding Executive positions at TV One for a number of years, I moved over to Monami Entertainment as Head of Development. While at Monami, I helped the company broker a first-look deal with Lionsgate/Starz, and developed/produced content across VH1, MTV, WEtv. Currently, I’m Executive Producing the debut album for music artist Tmcthedon who is signed to Asylum records/Atlantic Music Group. Also, I run my Premium Essentials Fashion brand called Chase Visions and hold an Executive role with Sony Pictures Television as VP, Scripted Series.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
With music, television, film, and fashion it’s always something to learn from each project. It’s rarely ever a smooth road as each Executive position I’ve held and projects worked on require a lot of your time, collaboration, and cooperation from others to have success.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’ve been known for my Executive roles on the music and television area of the business. However, I’m most excited about my foray into the fashion side of the business. So much of my job as an TV/Film Executive requires a creative eye which includes an ear for music and an eye for fashion that speaks to a show’s world. In the area of fashion, my personal style has organically pulled me into collaboration with costume designers, where I ultimately become a key part of the approval process for costumes before they hit the screen. I always loved fashion so it made sense for me to start my brand Chase Visions. Chase Visions is a premium essentials brand with a high-quality design that transcends time. Each piece is carefully curated to invoke true expression of vision, artistic creativity, and timeless style. These essential masterpieces are created to inspire self-determination and positivity. “CV” is a banner that encourages visionaries to pursue their passions. The “guiding star” is a reminder of your greatness.  This line is a reflection of my personal style, a beautiful marriage between the ascetic of Palm Desert, California, timeless streetwear and exclusive sneaker culture. CV’s fashion pieces have been featured in several television shows including QUEENS (ABC), BLACK LIGHTNING (CW NETWORK), BIGGER (VIACOM), and an upcoming Universal Pictures Film.

Any big plans?
I’m looking forward to a successful full launch of my clothing brand and also success with Tmcthedon’s debut album.
