So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
When my husband and I first met, we shared common interests; one of them being our love for photography. We bought our first camera together and started calling ourselves Pajarito Photography. Pajarito means “little bird” in Spanish. This name sort of stuck because I think of my family as little birds and after all, they are our motivation for doing what we do every day! We started off snapping photos for live events, then newborn babies at a local hospital, and later finding ourselves training as second shooters with a close and dear photographer-friend for weddings. This quickly became our niche. We were finally able to spend time together and capture couples who loved to spend time together too! Our business brought our entire family closer!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Yes and no. It’s been like the saying “you have to spend money, to make money.” And it’s true. We invested money because we are dedicated to doing our job. We realize it’s not always going to be easy but we’ve been wise about it!
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Pajarito Photography story. Tell us more about the business.
We are a husband + wife team of over 6 years who dream of nothing more than to make someone’s special day even more beautiful. We go above and beyond to gain our clients trust and friendship by putting our best photographers + videographers together to create a work of art that will last a lifetime. We are a candid and transparent business dedicated to doing what we truly love. We understand budget, we understand time, and we understand how important it is to have quality rather than quantity. We want to together and make our client’s day even more special!
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
It doesn’t have to do with luck because I like to think of where we are because of God. Our faith has played the greatest role by bringing us to a humble place as a family and a business.
