Meet Alvaro Sandoval

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alvaro Sandoval.

Hi Alvaro, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
It’s a pleasure. I’m excited to be here.

For the better part of the last decade, I’ve considered what dramatic changes, new and enhanced technologies mean for the home. Every two years, significant advancements arrive. Tracking this progress is not watching technology for technology’s sake.

How have we evolved in what we do at home? And how does technology make it possible? Two years ago, only some people worked, full-time, from home. Today, many more have that desire and capacity- just one cultural change impacting our residences.

Our homes must now accommodate more activities, be more functional, and be more secure. What design, integration, automation, networking, lighting, and A/V resources are required in this new environment? I hope my clients navigate this territory.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The home automation industry is filled with nuance, technical details, and a variety of personalities that all are high performing and demanding. It’s an environment where one succeeds with an attitude of lifelong learning and communicating as clearly and fully as possible.

Like any aspect in life, finding mentorship and putting in many hours across several years is where most begin to grow and prosper. Recognizing and utilizing the paths that lay in front of us, thanks to those before us, is how we are each given the opportunity to explore the world at the edges of discovery.

Persistence, above all else.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Experience, Not Equipment.

No one returns home after a business trip or an active day and says, “it is good to be home with my equipment.” No one recalls family and friends gathering for an event at their home and thinks, “everyone really enjoys the equipment.” Yet, this is what many A/V providers talk about when it comes to outfitting your home with the right music, lighting, and security. Well, we saver at home are not low-voltage connections, the focus of some companies, but they experience these resources, create in our homes.

When working with clients, I consider how they will feel when they arrive. Is the lighting just right? Does access to the home feel elegant? Is everything beautifully designed, coordinated, and available? Does the entertainment sound and look superb? Are these amenities in keeping with the quality of the home, and the persons living there? Well, they enhance beautiful and memorable moments at home?

Today, in our homes, at our fingertips, and through facial and voice, recognition was once just a dream. Superior experiences for you and your guests can be commonplace. I plan an extraordinary, daily experience for your home, with the best A/V resources available.

What does success mean to you?
My fulfillment comes from persistent and consistent action that results in measurable momentum in the long-term direction I have for my life. Being on one’s own path is the only way to begin to get to know oneself and to learn to define what success means to them as an individual. The greatest reward of this philosophy is that every day is a new opportunity to redefine who we are, to course correct, and to try again or keep going.
