Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Sykes.

Hi Jasmine, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Jasmine Sykes and I go by the name JMarie. My business came about with my passion for writing and marketing. JMarie Media was founded in 2012, starting my career off as an editor for my magazine, JMarie Magazine. The magazine was created to become a platform for entrepreneurs in the Midwest region to showcase to the world what they had to offer. The goal was that the magazine would eventually expand nationally. That included doing live interviews via social media and Youtube. Well, that business required a lot of time and eventually, I wanted more. In my hometown, Milwaukee, WI, I felt as if I had reached my capacity. Because the city was so small, there was no room for growth. I graduated from college with a degree in business and decided I had an interest in Public Relations. That is how the birth of JMarie Media came about.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Actually no, I started with just conducting YouTube videos back in my hometown Milwaukee, WI. That had eventually expanded to Chicago, IL and the to Atlanta, GA, and now Los Angeles, CA. I am slowly but surely expanding my brand one city or state at a time. When I moved to Atlanta in 2017 I was actually homeless. Living with family and friends. Going from hotel to hotel and sometimes sleeping in my car. When you have a dream that God gives you, sometimes we don’t understand that the JOURNEY is the reward.

Our goals are to help clients attract more leads and turn them into customers that generate revenue. It is our great pleasure and gratitude to create marketing campaigns for businesses, entrepreneurs and start-ups to reach their targeted markets. We have been going above and beyond and sometimes overworked to meet the needs of the community. What sets us aside from other marketing firms is that we take passion in our work. We are honored to be a service to others. The best medicine in life is laughter. Some may forget your name, the way you look, and even your conversations, but they will always remember how you made them feel. We take pride in making you feel your very best.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My biggest motivation are my four children Kumani, Messiah, Zareya and Chaniya. They are my reason. Alongside my journey even til this day, my mentors are Core DJ Tony Neal whom is also my first cousin, Duct Tape Entertainment CEO Big Bank, Murphy Lee who is also my client, DJ Big Juice from Rockford, IL. DJ Big Juice is actually the reason most artists are on the radio. He has contributed a great deal to my firm. A few others to name Chad Roper, Rico Love, Sleepy Rose, Murda Pain and Jarell Johnson(RIP), Finally, I recently met a friend whom is incarcerated Dutch, who taught me a lot about slowing down and enjoying life as a whole. I have an obsession with servicing others. I believe that’s our true purpose.
