Today we’d like to introduce you to Vanessa Evigan Adcox.
Hi Vanessa, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I grew up in Los Angeles California and sorta fell into the acting world when I was eleven years old. My dad is an actor and that was the catalyst to my acting career launch. When I was just twelve years old, I was on set of, NBC’s critically acclaimed TV show “Against The Grain” where I played Ben Afflecks little sister. I began selling jewelry I was making on the side in between takes. I loved making jewelry and never stopped loving it. I had a jewelry line for years called Vanessalee Jewelry where I sold handmade vintage pieces that were one of a kind, and staple layering pieces. My love for jewelry never died but when I had my firstborn, Jewelry took a back seat. After years of being a mom to two amazing children, Maverick and Birdie Rose, I have picked up jewelry again. This time launching a higher-end fine line jewelry line called Birdie Rose. Birdie Rose will not only be a jewelry line but a clothing and home goods online store where I have teamed up with my lifelong friend Jen Grossman Kelly who is the owner of Bird & Vine. We are creating a clothing line and online storefront where you can find all of our favorites.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing is ever smooth right? And if it is, doesn’t it always seem too good to be true?? Orders come in wrong. Manufacturing makes mistakes. We make big mistakes on our end. All these mistakes bring us closer to our end goal resulting in an end result we may have never knew existed and was meant to be…… had we not run into those challenges along the way, we may have never got to where we are now!

I’m best known as Vanessa Evigan, a California-based actress since age 11 with an entire family in the business. My siblings Multi-Grammy nominated songwriter and producer Jason Evigan and actress Briana Evigan. My father is actor Greg Evigan best known as Joey from My Two Dads and the star of BJ and The bear. My mother was a broadway dancer on Coco and Follies and also a dancer on the Sonny and Cher show
