I spent 15 years in Customer Service Management with the airlines and decided to open up a family operated automotive service business with my husband Steve Nunez in 2016. I am one of the very few woman business owners for an automotive repair shop. But it does make sense because most drivers are women and would prefer to deal with a woman professional in the automotive repair field.
Has it been a smooth road?
We are a startup business, only 10 months in business thus far. It’s been a slow growth process due to a very competitive industry environment, and it takes time for people to get to know us.

West Covina is a business-friendly city. There are associations and groups available for networking and marketing efforts.
There are a lot of other auto repair stores in the area so getting attention and growth is difficult.
