Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosanna Siracusa.
Hi Rosanna, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
After graduating with my Bachelor’s in Journalism, I knew in my heart something was missing and I wanted a different career path, Ever since I was five years old I’ve been obsessed with all things beauty so I immediately enrolled in an esthetics program. Upon the first day, I knew that I made the right choice. I was fortunate enough to start my esthetics career working alongside some of the best Plastic Surgeons and Physicians in Los Angeles. I got to work with a diverse group of people and really hone in on my craft. With this advanced background and training, I felt like I was ready to go out on my own.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I signed my lease the beginning of March in 2020 not realizing we would experience a global pandemic. Getting started was difficult since California shut down multiple times. The beauty industry especially took a big hit. I was extremely nervous because a lot of savings went into starting this business. However, I was adamant in creating a safe space for clients to come and get help with their skin. A place where you can unwind and not feel judged for your skin concerns.
I couldn’t back out of my lease so I had to figure out ways to generate income without being in the studio. I launched a virtual consultation program and helped clients with their skin by creating custom regimens with the product lines I carry. The struggle from the pandemic itself and then my father suddently passing away really lit a fire in me to succeed and go hard. I wanted to make him proud. I honeslty had nothing to lose at that point because things really couldn’t have been worse. It was only going up from here.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about RSN Skin Co.?
My approach is corrective care with a sprinkle of spa. Each treatment is done with the heart and geared to promote skin health by utilizing cutting-edge technologies and incorporating traditional spa practices. I offer result-driven treatments but still incorporate that relaxing spa feel. I have a wide range of clients and treat a multitude of skin concerns, however, I specialize in inflammatory skin disorders like acne and rosacea. I would say I am most known for my extractions and clients purposely seek me out for that. I’ve been able to establish my own techniques to give the best results with client comfort in mind. My goal is to have my clients leave with clean, glowy and hydrated skin. No pore is left behind with my treatments.
What’s next?
I plan to continue building my golden clientele and then expanding my space by opening a storefront in Woodland Hills. With more space, I can offer complimentary services incorporating skin and wellness. I would love to have my sister join me in the next couple of years as she’s currently pursuing her master’s in nursing. That would be our father’s dream!
