Daily Inspiration: Meet Pooja Photography

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pooja Photography.

Hi Pooja, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Every passion story starts with “I love” & “I wish”…

When I looked back at my journey, I discovered that I always loved a few things..which probably were the seeds to my passion and love for photography.

I love nature, and mom & dad ensured I was well-traveled. I loved to go out with them and explore the world. Fortunately, dad’s job gave us plenty of those opportunities.

I also loved Anne Geddes’s work. I remember flipping through the pages of this old yet gorgeous book at the library, fascinated by how beautifully she captured her babies stories.

I grew up with bunnies and a dog. Mom says I was ready to adopt any dog I met on the street. Even the scary street dogs didn’t faze me.

It’s those seeds I think laid the foundation of who I am today. A baby whisperer, an avid pet lover, an explorer, a professional and to hold it all together now a certified, published professional photographer. I like to call myself an Imagemaker. I create portraits but in all truth, I capture your essence in them.

You know the difference between a photo and a portrait is a fine line…and it is called artful storytelling.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
A success journey starts with mistakes and learning and making more mistakes and learning more. Perfection never happens. You stop growing if you stop learning.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
A new project, a new concept, something unique…that thrills me. So if you love to have a unique photo session, talk to me because I create one-of-a-kind portraits. My goal is not to create average portraits for you. I want to give you stories with art… jaw-dropping, breathtaking, meaningful portraits that speak to your heart.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
There is only luck.. not good or bad. Good or bad happens from what you make from a situation in life. Find a silver lining and roll with it… that will keep you sane and happy.
