Today we’d like to introduce you to Raquel Reyes.
Hi Raquel, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey with Astrology started when I was really young. Like many Latin households, Walter Mercado was always playing at my Grandma’s house and his Astrology show is how I learned I was a Virgo. Growing up, I read every horoscope in every magazine I could get my hands on and eventually started renting out old-school Astrology books at the library, mostly from the 60s and ’70s. I was fascinated and intrigued with the history and mysticism but most of all I truly felt seen, accepted, and understood whenever I researched my Astrology. When I was 18 years old, I met my first Astrology mentor after getting a palm reading inside her mystic bookstore. She told me my hand had the mark of the Mystic and suggested I learn Astrology & Tarot to find out what my gifts and opportunities are in this lifetime. With her guidance, that’s exactly what I did and my journey never looked the same again.
I studied for an additional 10 years before I decided to become a professional Astrologer. During those 10 years, I was galavanting around the world, falling in love, bartending, writing, eating delicious food, exploring cultures and humanity, and watching the most gorgeous sunsets/sunrises. I learnt and studied and read every piece of Astrology literature I could find along my travels. I met so many different people, asking everyone their Sun/Moon/Rising so I could give them readings. I began collecting Tarot card decks. I eventually landed in LA- a place with a huge spiritual community. One day while staring at the Aegean Sea in Greece, I decided life was too short to not pursue my passion of Astrology. & mysticism. I wanted to help people, and I was done wasting time. I immediately quit my job back in the states, returned to LA, and began building my Astrology Practice. The “Astrology with Raquel” brand was born and here I am today- a consulting Astrologer with amazing clients all over the world.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I’ve faced many adversities in my life. Lots of advances that were granted to other people with privilege were not granted to me growing up or in adulthood. I’ve been on my own since 17. I moved to LA with $400 and a carry-on. I started my business from scratch with zero help and zero money to invest into it. This created a lot of struggle but also helped me conquer the pangs of poverty consciousness that haunted me for a really long time. Being an entrepreneur is no joke. You have to learn a lot beyond your craft and you have to be a motivated self-starter 25/8 because no one is coming to save you or run your business for you. While I have struggled through the ebb and flow of life and business, I can also say with confidence that everything I’ve been through has made me into the strong, motivated, and unshakable force I am today. You live and you learn.

I’ve been studying Astrology for 16 years and I’m most proud of my ability to share what I’ve learned to guide others to enjoy their lives. I’ve helped others break subconscious patterns, align with their Cosmic DNA, heal deep wounds, and embrace their gifts so they can live in bliss and abundance. I’ve been witness to hundreds of breakthroughs and many magical moments.
My clients achieve the results they want because we focus on soul alignment and intentional strategies to move them forward. I’m also a professional tarot reader and reiki practitioner and I love to share these gifts with my clients as well.
I have the gift of discernment (Virgo!) and I can easily locate your blockages and opportunities. I’m a creative and constructive coach and I love to hold a mirror to your experience so you can truly see yourself for the radiant, audacious, and powerful person you are.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Dancing and singing to Selena with my Mom and older sister. We used to escape our worries one “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom” at a time. I remember it vividly and it brings me tons of joy. I still listen to Selena today and my inner child loves to hear her voice. These memories taught me that you can transcend trauma through music.
