Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Yanez-Gaitan. 

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have been a content creator for several years now. I recently joined TikTok and have grown to almost 27,000 followers. I cover topics including fashion, beauty, and celebrity style. All the fashion is for women who share a passion for it but are not necessarily in the fashion industry. The same goes for beauty content. I feel my content is relatable because it is for the everyday woman. I also love to cover celebrity fashion using all positive feedback. I refuse to give negative feedback as there is so much negativity in the world today, why be a contributor? I choose to keep my space positive at all times. 

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Content creation is never a smooth road, but I feel the bumpy parts are what lead us to greatness. If you overcome the obstacles, then you have made it to the other side. A side where hard work truly does pay off. All content creators have the chance to be great. You do not need millions of followers to be part of this space. This space is for all yo thrive and share our passions.

My day job is working in special education at one of my local high schools. It is a very challenging yet rewarding job. Special education takes a special person to fulfill the needs of special children. It is something I take pride in, and I enjoy the bond I have created with my students. 

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love the warmth of my city. We are a city of festivals, so the vibes are always there. I love the city because it is where I grew up. It is where I am raising my children. It is home. The only thing I would change is having more spaces/studios for creators to utilize.
