George is the founder and CEO of George Chung Realtors based in the heart of Mar Vista.
In 1978, he opened his real estate brokerage firm, George Chung Realtors, and focused on the Mar Vista neighborhood – the “90066” zip code. It has always been his center of attention and that enables him to forecast trends and help his sellers receive above average sales prices on their homes. As a result, George Chung Realtors is the leading real estate company in Mar Vista that has successfully navigated both up and down real estate markets, especially for people selling their home.
George is dedicated to fostering community. He served as the Zone Director for the Mar Vista Community Council, and chaired the ad-hoc Committee for the Santa Monica College Bundy Campus. He was honored by Councilman Bill Rosendahl for his continued community service, and he generously contributed to the creative arts program at Venice High School’s Music Department when funding for the program was at risk.

Has it been a smooth road? What have been the biggest challenges along the way?
First challenge was 16-17% mortgage rates for years.
Second was the massive foreclosures in the 1990’s.
Third was the 2nd massive foreclosures in 2006-2010.
