Hi Dominiq, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My life has been a journey. Growing up, I learned that my strong trait was in “sales”. Which is why I started off branching off towards the shoe business independently. I came to the conclusion that it’s always going to be a necessity for people.
Today, I own one of the most well-known, creative and successful shoe stores called “Cookies & Kicks”.
It humbles me every day seeing it because of how much work was put into it. It’s a reminder that anyone, no matter the circumstance can persevere through any obstacle and succeed.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. There was a point in my life where I worked three jobs because of some family matters. It was a lot mentally which created different struggles along the way but I was able to get past them and grow.

Making my family proud. Statistically, people who look like me aren’t supposed to be successful and create businesses. I am glad I was able to venture for myself and give back to my family.
