Meet Michael and April Dmytrow of Surf City Graphics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael and April Dmytrow.

Surf City Graphics is a family owned graphic design, printing and wrap business managed and operated by Michael and April Dmytrow. Michael and April were born and raised in Southern California. Their passion for art and design motivated them into the graphic design and printing industry. Since leaving Cal State Long Beach with a BA in Graphic Design and Textile/Fabric Design, they have been immersed entirely in design, printing and wraps. They specialize in Large format printing, vehicle wraps and promotional advertisement.

Michael is an Art Director, Manager and 3M Preferred graphic wrap installer who spent the majority of his career designing and developing clean and uncluttered designs. April is a Graphic Designer, Printing Manager and graphic wrap installer with an amazing attention to detail, color theory expertise and a unique creative eye. April has also spent a majority of her life designing and creating a variety of art. Michael and April are here to help you develop, grow and achieve your business goals, by using sophisticated designs, producing quality printed media and wraps.

Road to succeed was never a smooth road. Long hours, 2 jobs, working 7 days a week, all-nighters, unmotivated employees, difficult customers and lots of other speed bumps along the way.

Extremely proud to win BEST OF SHOW in the Signs of the Times Magazine X-Prize vehicle wrap contest. This really put us on the map world-wide. Finally got recognition for all the hard work on Mackey’s Hot Rods 1962 Sailor Jerry Chevy Impala. It was a pleasure working with Brian Mackey (Owner of Mackey’s Hot Rods) We used his concepts, artistic vision and turned it into reality with this Impala Low-rider wrap graphics.

Also, extremely proud to partner up with Drew Brophy for our shop truck wrap graphics. This is the #1 Surf Artist in the world who I have looked up to since I moved to Orange County in 1998. We utilized his artwork and transformed it into a beautiful truck wrap that is recognized all over Southern California. It is a dream come true for me personally.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Like Best: Love how diverse, creative and artistically driven LA is. Always pushing the boundaries for art, architecture and business. There is always a need for graphics, marketing collateral weather it’s a vehicle wrap, signage, wall wraps, etc…

Like least about LA: TRAFFIC!!!!
