Hi Shalisa, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Furry Faces Holistic CBD came about through a very personal journey. I’ve worked in the veterinary field most of my life. In 2008, I was brutally kicked by a horse while providing veterinary care. The accident left me with massive physical limitations, debilitating pain, depression, and anxiety. To treat all of my symptoms, doctors placed me on a multitude of medications. All these medications had many side effects. Making it almost impossible to function and stay in good health. My doctors kept giving me more and more medications to combat these side effects. With no plan to help me stop any. I thought to myself, this is insane. I’m a healthy woman in my early 30’s whos on 10-15 different medications. So, I dedicated myself to finding a way out. With the help of my medical background and science-based education. I found a natural plant-based supplement with no know side effects that looked like it could be the answer, call CBD.
But at that time, there was little information or products on the market. So, I treated myself like a research project and was able to figure out the right dosing and the best type and quality CBD. Wow, did it help? I gradually stopped all my medications and returned to a normal healthy active life! Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The formation of Furry Faces Holistic CBD has not been a smooth road. Finding the right quality hemp and special laboratories to produce the product all took time and patients. It took me years to find just the right combination for pets. Every portion of my product I meticulously designed. From the special biophotonic bottle, the product is packaged. To the spillproof, uniform drop dosing. It was important to me to make a product where pet parents only need to buy one bottle of CBD for their entire furry family. Pet parents’ expenses can be high and no one should have to choose which pet gets CBD because they have to buy a different bottle for each species and size.
Some of the biggest challenges along the way have been the effort to destigmatize the culture around CBD. If they catch you, it will be immediately taken down or your account deleted. Nor are products labeled CBD allowed to be on any paid advertising.
