Today we’d like to introduce you to Tara Hayes.
Hi Tara, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m a self-published author who was born and raised in South Jersey. A self-proclaimed anxiety advocate, I love helping working women overcome worry, fear, and anxiety to regain control of their lives by developing a positive mindset!
Anxiety has been a part of my life before I even realized what it was. I will not label myself as a sufferer, but I will acknowledge that I’ve experienced severe anxiety. All I wanted was to feel normal and not be anxious all the time. So I could finally live my life without fear and worry.
Fast forward to today, I look forward to testing and tackling my anxiety daily using natural solutions.
My social media content teaches tips for anxiety management as well as entrepreneurship and business growth tips.
This includes different activities like journaling, nutrition, exercise, and developing a positive mindset.
I enjoy drawing, creating videos and editing, listening to music to unwind and relax during my free time.
I wrote my book, Panic to Picnic: How To Find Your Own Personal Path to Peace of Mind, to document my own personalized path from problems with panic to achieving peace of mind.
This is what I share with others who desire to follow my blueprint to a peaceful, purposeful, and powerful lifestyle.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. I’ve experienced imposter syndrome and feelings of unworthiness. Even though I knew I had developed an excellent anxiety management plan, I struggled with defining my audience and communicating a clear message that resonated.
When I started out, I wanted to help men, women, everyone R.A.C.E to their recovery. I realized that I had to focus on WHO exactly I wanted to help and HOW I wanted to help them. I’m an introverted, Creativepreneur who experiences anxiety. I also had to change my mindset and break through the limiting beliefs about my success. I helped myself heal, but was I truly capable of helping others heal while I healed myself?
Fear got in the way big time. What if I couldn’t deliver peace of mind? What if I couldn’t help anyone? I’ve struggled with these thoughts even after I’ve received many testimonials of how inspirational and helpful my book was for anxiety management.
I decided that I wanted to give a voice to the women just like me. Women who were fearful but had a powerful message that outweighed both fear and introversion. I wanted to help anxious, entrepreneurial minded women overcome worry, fear, and anxiety to regain control of their lives. This includes taking back their power to be creative, vocal and authentic in spite of anxiety.
Sharing my struggles, being myself, and always being transparent has been my superpower. I’m relatable and that really resonates with working women like myself.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happy is waking up everyday knowing I get another chance to work on myself and my business. I get another day to own what I know and know what I own. I get another chance to make an impact and help working women overcome worry, fear, and anxiety to regain control of their lives. I’m one step closer to my dream life. I’m flaw-some.
I am also my happiest working out in the morning. Whether it be lifting my weights or chilling out with Yoga. I get a sense of accomplishment by disciplining myself to exercise everyday.
I’m happiest taking care of my health as well as making sure that the people I love are healthy as possible.
