Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Rameson.
Chris has operated The Pumpkin Factory in Southern California for over 20 years, with his largest operation being located in Redlands off the 10 fwy which he took over in 2016. Chris has been a pioneer in developing the concept of creating pumpkin patches as places where families could have a shared experience, creating memories that would transcend generations.
Has it been a smooth road?
With a seasonal business, there are always obstacles along the way. You are never guaranteed a perfect pumpkin crop you have crop failed and draughts to worry about. You build your business from the group up in a 2 week period. The weather is not always on your side and our business is outdoors so that can be an obstacle. The cost of operating a business in California with all of the taxes and fees and the risk of people always wanting to sue for anything. Our customers do not understand the cost of running a business. Because we are seasonal most of our staff have never had job before with the majority of them being high schoolers looking for some work experience.

We operate seasonal Pumpkin Patches providing a safe environment for families to come together and create memories. We specialize in agro-entertainment; where you can come by a pumpkin, ride some rides, play some games, experience our petting zoo, and much more! We are most proud that we create a place where families can make memories and for traditions for years to come.
