So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I got started in the makeup industry because I love to show how each person is beautiful and unique.
As a teen, I would always watch makeover shows like “What Not To Wear,” in awe and knew that I wanted to make women feel empowered.
I attended Make-Up Designory in Burbank for my certificate in Fashion Make-up Artistry where I learned the basics of my craft, but the real expertise came from the 7.5 years of experience working for a luxury cosmetic brand. This was the best way to practice on all different types of skin, across the country as I traveled as a National Makeup Artist. It was truly rewarding to see so many people glowing and smiling with the results.
Now my focus is Bridal. I’m no longer with the cosmetic company and wanted to be my own boss, and focus on women and their big day, because I get the most joy when I see a woman feel beautiful on one of the most important days of her life.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Being a small business owner is never easy. For me, I really just needed a plan to focus on, otherwise it can be truly overwhelming.
There are always slower months and those times when you have less income, and some months with a lot more. It’s a balancing act that takes time to figure out the patterns and trends.

I am a makeup artist that focuses on beauty makeup. You won’t find any scary monster or “character” movie makeup in my portfolio. I like to focus on enhancing one’s best features.
I specialize in making the skin look flawless, first and foremost. If the skin looks good, you can pull off most any look. I love a good fierce brow, but I steer away from making them look “overdone.”
I would say that my service is what sets me apart. I truly want the best for every client and offer skin treatments that are included in the price when booked for a wedding. Extra special treatment and attention to detail are why my brides are always beyond satisfied.
What were you like growing up?
I think about this question a lot, I grew up not a very popular kid. I think my obsession with beauty came from being teased, and ironically, I was sort of a tomboy complete with skater shoes and Dickies, haha.
I find it interesting the complete 180 I did to become such a girly girl once moved away to school.
