Hi Naira, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
2020 was a brutal year for most of the world. It took a toll not on our physical and mental health but also on our skins. As masks became required, I noticed more and more people started to complain about how bad their skins had become. Having experience in beauty and skincare, my business partner Jenny and I saw this as an opportunity to create a place to help people resolve their skin problems. There were a lot of medical spas around, but none of them were a one stop shop. After countless sleepless nights, sweat and tears, we opened SkinsationLA in the heart of Los Angeles. Through some trial and error, we were able to put together an amazing team of professionals, treatments and skincare packages. Our goal was to create an experience for our clients where they feel empowered and pampered and relaxed, all while getting amazing results.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It is a rough road that leads to the heights of greatness. As cliche as that sounds, it’s the challenges that motivate you to reach new limits. There were times that we wanted to give up and go back to our normal day jobs. Finding a physical location, buying inventory and machines, finding good employees and products, acquiring new clients, unexpected miscellaneous costs, marketing costs, etc. It all can be very overwhelming and tiring, but once you see the results, it becomes almost addicting.

Skinsation LA is more than just one stop shop medical spa, it is an experience. We specialize in skin treatments such as tightening, resurfacing, facials, lasers, reducing pigmentation, acne, sagging, as well as dermal fillers and IVs. While most med spas offer one or the other, most of them don’t have it all under one roof. The biggest difference however, is our customer service approach. At SkinsationLA, we believe in the importance of normalizing skin flaws and treating them instead of hiding behind makeup and filters. Our main goal is for our clients to feel beautiful and confident in their own skin.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Covid-19 was a lesson for all of us to reflect back on our lives, on what really matters in life, re-evaluate our priorities, be more aware of our health and well-being.
