Meet Karolina Soltani of Long Beach Boot Camp

Today we’d like to introduce you to Karolina Soltani.

Karolina, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
After earning my Masters Degree in Economics from a university abroad (Lodz, Poland), I spent eight years managing foreign student exchange programs creating opportunities for outstanding and talented individuals to gain professional and cultural experience across America.

I always had passion for fitness and a healthy lifestyle and approximately three years ago made the decision to turn it into my full time career. After a year spent working for various gyms and fitness centers around LA & Orange Counties while becoming a Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor, I decided to launch my own fitness company in early 2016. I now own and operate MOTIV FITNESS and LONG BEACH BOOT CAMP through which I offer outdoor group exercise sessions to clients of all fitness levels. Our boot camps are fun because we truly believe that fitness should be FUN, hence our motto” We Make Fitness FUN again!”. We combine training with motivational team events and games to produce results geared towards our clients’ individual fitness goals while encouraging repeat participation thanks to the creative efforts of our inspiring instructors.

Has it been a smooth road?
The biggest challenge has been to make sure our clients see value in our offer, which is to present a unique fitness opportunity that produces the results they seek while steering clear of the traditional gym model. We compete against well established gyms and big corporations with deep marketing pockets. Our niche has been to offer a sense of camaraderie within our “Campers’ community that members of gym typically do not get to experience. With each boot camp session, our participants feel an ever-growing sense of belonging to a community of like-minded individuals and become increasingly connected to each other and inspired by one another’s success and progress.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Long Beach Boot Camp – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Long Beach Boot Camp offers small group training sessions to individuals of all fitness levels 6 days a week. No stuffy gyms and boring treadmills. Unlike the brick-and-mortar gyms, we offer our boot camps outdoor to enjoy fresh air, green grass and beautiful sunrise (or sunset, depending which class you are attending). We cater to the early-risers (5:30 am class), the work-from home individuals and/or new moms (8:15 am and 9 am classes), and the let’s-work -out-after-work folks (5:30 pm class, another evening class coming up soon). We have 3 different locations our “campers” can choose from.

Our certified and experience trainers offer everything from cardio, strength and functional training, to deep stretching and meditation sessions focusing on the wellness of the mind as well as the body.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Naturally, what I like best about our city is its beautiful climate and scenery which is ideally suited for us to take advantage of to provide outdoor activities. We offer our boot camps at Long Beach’s waterfront parks, beaches, school fields and the slopes of Signal Hill. Along with the climate, what I like best about this city are the people who make it such a great community to live in. My experience in Long Beach has been that it is a safe and welcoming city that allows anyone to thrive as long as they come with a positive mindset. Of course, so many attractive features of our city also make for congestion and difficulty with parking at times but these are a small price to pay for getting to live in such a wonderful place.
