Community Highlights: Meet Rosabelle Eales of Overall Mgmt

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosabelle Eales.

Hi Rosabelle, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started working in music before I knew what it was to work in music by booking shows and throwing warehouse parties in my hometown. In 2011, I moved to New Orleans for school and linked up G-Eazy’s team who mentored me taking me on my first few tours. Then in 2013, I relocated to LA full time to pursue working with an artist who had newly been signed to Young Money. When I was 23 years old, I founded Overall Mgmt, and in late 2015, I got a call from my friend Garrett telling me that his project “gnash” was starting to gain traction and asked if I wanted to join his team. At 23, I founded Overall Mgmt off the ethos “We are good people, fighting for the good people”. Together Garrett and I took his hit song ihuilu 6x Platinum in the US alone. While he was working on his debut album, I started managing Imad Royal – and the rest was her story 🙂

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I don’t think anything is a “smooth road” and there are bumps in every road. Personally, I think I had to fight harder than most based off my age + gender to get an earn at the table thinking that I was fighting for a select amount of spots but once I got there, I realized that there is more than enough room at the table – you just have to pull up a chair.

Overall Mgmt is a home for Artists, Producers, and Song Writers. At Overall, we don’t just focus on growing the business; we focus on creating a safe space for our clients to also be able to grow as individuals. We believe through support, honesty, and the collective “we” anything is possible.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I think if you had asked me this question five years ago, I would have written at length about streaming and the importance of social media… but now, in this post covid world the music industry feels like the wild west and to be honest… I love it.
