Meet Kevin Desjardin of KDigitalProductions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin Desjardin.

Kevin, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started KDigitalProductions after going to two schools. I got my Associate Degree from New England Technology in Multimedia & Video Editing. I also received my Bachelors of Science in Motion Graphics & Visual Effects from The Art Insitute of California. While having years of experience in Video, Art, Design, Typography Motion Graphics and Video Editing I decided to start KDigitalProductions. I also worked for a record label in-house producing Lyric Videos and Music Videos which molded me. With years of experience I decided to start my company and to help out musicians on their visuals, Motion Graphics, Video Editing, and Designs.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It took a while to get to the point that I’m at today. It took over 10 years to achieve where I am at today. I get clients from all over the globe they come frequently. If they are looking for Lyric Videos or Music Videos I am very eager to work with them. I recently teamed up with PureDeathcore which is a Underground Deathcore Music promotional company that helps bands to get publicity and more followers. They have about 47k followers on YouTube. I started doing freelance with my other website KevinDesjardin.com and from that I started KDigitalProductions. I learned Video Editing since High School when everything was on VHS. It was quite the ride but in the end worth it all. It also took about 10 years to develop a certain style of my Art.

Please tell us about KDigitalProductions.
KDigitalProductions specializes in Video Editing, Motion Graphics, Lyric Videos and Music Videos. We are known for working with musicians on Lyric Videos. I am mostly proud of working with Boys II Men, Mark Morrison, Chelsea Grin, Capture The Crown, SLAVES, Butcher Babies, Devil You Know, Extol, Shadow Of Intent, Boris The Blade, and Downfall of Gaia. What sets us apart from others is that I am well educated in Art and Design, also in Video Design & Motion Graphics. I didn’t just start making Lyric Videos out of the blue. I became well educated in most every Art form and then started producing lyric videos. I taught myself kinetictype (lyric videos) which is text that comes up when the word is spoken. I also taught myself camera animation in After Effects. I have 15 years of experience in Photoshop which is the Brother of After Effects. Everything I learned in Photoshop translated in After Effects.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from my childhood was when I first went fishing with my parents and I caught a turtle. This was all caught on film.
