Conversations with Jordan Brett

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Brett.

Hi Jordan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I moved to Los Angeles from London, UK in January 2020 to study photography. I have a production company in London called BRETT / CREATIVE.

I consider my choices very lucky as the pandemic affected so many people, yet I had prepared for 2020 & 2021 to bury my head in books to become a master at photography!

Coming up to my 2nd year here, I have had the opportunity to dabble in many different fields of photography and my ultimate goal is to become an architectural/interior photographer shooting for magazines like Architectural Digest, Veranda, Vogue, etc.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Struggles were the pandemic and also being so far away from my family…

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As of right now, I am a student taking a major in photography. I specialize in Photography, Videography, and Editing. I had done some really cool jobs in London for companies like Nike, Asos, TNF, Supreme. What sets me apart is, I guess my individuality. I’ve never followed crowds and always followed my instinct. It got me to where I am right now and I have no regrets.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I have been quite adventurous and have explored more than just the city of Los Angeles. I’ve spent a lot of time up in Santa Barbara and have become familiar with all of the little towns from Carpentaria, Montecito, and even as far as Solvang and Santa Ynez. I mean, California really is an incredible place! I have lived here for 1.5 years and even though traffic is annoying… It’s the same in any major city so I usually travel during off-peak times.
