Yamashiro means Mountain Palace – and true to its name the restaurant is a palace that sites 250 feet above Hollywood Boulevard built by the Bernheimer brothers in 1911 to house their Asian art collection. Hundreds of craftsmen were came from Asia to create a replica of a palace in the Yamashiro province of Japan.   The restaurant and bar are excellent.
