Meet Andres Londono of ImagePursuit in Orange County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andres Londono.

Andres, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Ever since I was little, I always wanted to be an entrepreneur. I’ve always been artistic and creative as well, and my whole life I’ve been told I have a keen eye for photography. Why not combine the two and do what I love? I started by studying as much as I could on my own, creating a plan, and then acting upon it. There’s always something to learn.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s never a smooth road. Even when you think it is smooth, you’ll find bumps. You have to remind yourself to slow down to grow fast. When you push for things, you’ll frustrate yourself and it just won’t happen. Learn every day, have fun with it. Love what you do, and everything will fall into place.

My biggest struggle has been and still is learning how to do business on my own and how to learn how to become my own manager. You have to learn accounting, business, marketing, scheduling, and things that relate to what you do.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about ImagePursuit – what should we know?
ImagePursuit is just a name. Kind of like a logo. Something people can remember easy and be able to link my name to it. Or not. It’s slowly becoming part of me. I’m a freelance photographer, and I specialize in portraiture. I love night shooting with strobe flash. I’m always learning about the body, shadows, posing, so I can get better at it and really master it. That’s what sets me apart from others.
knowing why I’m doing what I’m doing.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Personality and knowledge. I think those are the most important things for what I do. Delivering high quality imagery because of those two things greatly satisfies me.
