I began practicing Tarot over a decade ago to hone my natural intuitive and empathic abilities. What started as a journey for my own personal healing led me to become a shamanic healer to help others as well. I sought out a few teachers and learned a variety of healing techniques.
For the first few years, I practiced independently out of my home and over the phone, refining my craft. Over time, I found people coming to me quite often for guidance and healing, as I gradually developed a following.
One thing led to another, and I eventually partnered with House of Intuition – a metaphysical shop in Silver Lake that’s established itself as a hub of the East Side spiritual community. Since then, I’ve been serving the Los Angeles community with Tarot readings, shamanic energy healing, and a variety of classes on magic, meditation and shamanism. In just the last few years, I’ve done over 5,000 sessions and have worked with a diverse array of clients from all walks of life.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
My path has been very serendipitous. I’ve pursued many projects in my life with great difficulty, but my work as a spiritual healer and advisor has been surprisingly organic. What began as a hobby grew into a career.
But the journey hasn’t always been easy. Not everyone understands what I do, since there is still some taboo around mysticism and spirituality, though that’s slowly changing. And of course, trying to survive in a tough economy while doing spiritual work is no cakewalk.
The biggest challenges involved building my clientele and marketing myself, both of which take time and sound strategy. Luckily, my years of experience with marketing in previous jobs helped a lot. My customer service skills also came in handy when dealing with particularly challenging clients or situations. Managing all that while also trying to live a normal life and support my family has been rough sometimes. It’s meant certain sacrifices; I haven’t been able to say yes to every trip or concert, and there’s been many nights of eating instant noodles. But one way or another, I’ve managed to cobble together a decent living in spite of the challenges while supporting myself & my partner and staying true to my values.

I offer Tarot readings, shamanic energy healing, and classes on magic, meditation and shamanism. My readings are down-to-earth, constructive and practical, always offering guidance on how to move through any situation. My healing sessions use sage smudging, crystals, and rattling to cleanse the aura and balance the chakras while offering in-depth insight into the spiritual nature of someone’s problems. My classes offer detailed knowledge and information on a variety of spiritual, mystical and occult traditions for modern seekers who want to learn the teachings and techniques of the magical worldview.
I’m known for giving honest advice in a sensitive way without ever being judgmental or preachy. People come to me for all kinds of problems such as blockages in career, love life, health or family and I work to help them on every level: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
I’m most proud of genuinely helping others with their life’s challenges while also being able to make an honest living. It’s not easy to stay true to your values these days and still put food on the table, so I’m glad to have struck that balance. The most satisfying part of my work is meeting people when they are at their lowest and helping them rise up. Some of my clients come to me regularly for years, and getting to see their growth and the positive transformation in their lives energizes, inspires and uplifts me more than anything else. I’m humbled and honored to participate in someone’s personal healing, whatever role I may play, large or small.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of con artists in the spiritual business, and many folks get ripped off by fake psychics promising to solve all their problems for thousands of dollars. I offer genuine guidance that is honest and empathetic and I will stop taking someone’s business if I no longer feel that my services are helping them.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I plan to continue serving the Los Angeles community for the foreseeable future. In the long run, I’d like to reach people around the country and even internationally. My students have been pushing me to write a book based on the materials I teach in my classes and workshops, so hopefully I will publish that in the coming years.
