Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Cady and August Paro.
Agaso Outdoor was founded in 2017 by Lisa Cady and August Paro. We are a vintage automotive restoration shop currently specializing in the 1966-77 Ford Bronco and also take on other special custom projects. Lisa comes from a residential interior design and historic preservation background, while August has a background in hospitality, set and furniture design, and has been restoring vehicles for his entire adult life. The first shop was located in Inglewood and we soon moved to a larger facility in Gardena. In addition to our frame-off restoration projects, we also sell a variety of parts designed for the early Bronco and similar era Fords; for example an electronic stock-look gauge cluster and an electronic parking brake kit are currently in development. We also design and sell a variety of merchandise and host events.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The nature of being a custom car builder is only for those that have the determination and passion to engineer solutions. The necessity to use dozens of different aftermarket vendors and make all these different components work together flawlessly can be very challenging to achieve.
Please tell us about Agaso Outdoor LLC.
As a custom car builder and restoration shop, we are known for our overall build quality. We are especially known for our wiring and ability to engineer solutions no else has yet solved. We are proud of our employees and every single one of our completed past projects. We consistently never bend on our quality control and do what we do because we care and are obsessive about the final product and customer happiness.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
August: Road tripping with the family in our 4-door diesel Mercedes to a lake house in Ontario
Lisa: Spending a month at our remote family cabin in Humboldt County eating wild berries, jumping into the ice cold creek and sleeping outside on a hilltop.
