Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriella Mellado.
Gabriella, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I am a mother of seven children and wife of 25 years. I started in 2014 to sell items from my living room It started as a desperate hobby what that means to me is that I absolutely had nothing else to make it work and I really believed I could earn extra income while being with my kids, I would use social media to post my items, soon I had many people interested, In the mornings I would drop off the bigger kids to school then do deliveries in my van with the smaller toddlers until noon then come and attend from my house from 12-8pm. After school work was finished, we would go out again I always took my kids with me, The kids would watch a movie in the van and we would go to the farther areas where I couldn’t delivery in the mornings due to traffic, like downtown, and Pasadena.
Honestly, I don’t feel like “I’ve made it” but there was a time we lived in a garage and gathered change to purchase Basic needs, it was bad but it builds character. It showed me to respect income and manage it wisely we now have employees, many distributors throughout California and the United States we ship world wide to places like Egypt and Switzerland, that is always surprising to see. I was extremely hesitant to complete this questionnaire as I feel self-conscious about many things and accomplishments but God has looked over us and by his grace has allowed our family with so much we are able to help others and secure our families future.
Has it been a smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road at all, There was no guidance or advice from parents, friends and family. On the contrary, there was so much doubt and not much support. If I say without those experiences, it wouldn’t be as rewarding it would not be an honest statement. No one wants to have problems or worries but now the worries are different like making time to spend with family and maintaining business relationships.

Yes, you can definitely start your business from the city you reside in. As a business owner an improvement that would be beneficial is to create workshops for business owners to provide basic guidance and resources.
