Meet Nidia Wolff of Nidia’s Cleaning Service in Southern California

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nidia Wolff.

Nidia, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started my business by myself with just one mop, my own vacuum, very little money for cleaning products and a car that would just be making it to the houses. I started with two houses a week. I would lose a client, then gain another and would continue to go back forth for some time. There was a few times that I would just want to give up. Although I didn’t have any type of advertisement, with gods help, I slowly started to get more clients by just word of mouth. I’m very blessed to say, my business is now growing more and more each day with a total of 7 different employees that work in two different crews. With clients that not only hire us for house cleanings but also for buildings and construction cleanings.

Has it been a smooth road?
My road has definitely had many bumps. I remember times that I would leave my house from 5 in the morning and not come home until 1 in the morning, then the next day do it over again. There was no rest days. Monday through Sunday. Then there was times when I thought with the few clients I had, my family and I could get by. Then at that point I would lose clients and go back to only having 1 client. Those times I would really want to give up but as a single mother of 3, I knew that was not an option. I would also try to invest the little money I would have extra in advertisements that would not help bring in any clients. Then experience I learned how to properly invest my money to bring in more clients.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I have a cleaning business. I’m very proud on how far we have come. I have many clients, from houses to buildings to construction cleaning. Our saying is “We don’t cut corners, we clean them”.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I do believe that our city is a good place to start a business like mine. A very high percentage of the population has to work, and having your house cleaned is a big help. The only thing is to have faith, be persistent and work hard.
