Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Coronado.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Daniela. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My passion for beauty started since I was a kid. I remember my mom had beautiful curly hair and I would braid her hair, my dad barely had any but I would do tiny ponytails on him. By the time I was in first grade, I would do my own hair for school I learned how to braid on my own (still impressed by it now since my mom didn’t know how to braid even then) I would always get in trouble by digging into my mom’s makeup as well.
By the time I got to high school, I was already applying some makeup. In the fall off sophomore year. I got pregnant and became a teen mom at 16, becoming a teen mom at 16 was one of the hardest but most rewarding things happen to me. 16 was barely the age you can work at the time and even though I had my parents support thanks to God, I still wanted to make an extra income. While still in HS, I started working cleaning a laundromat a few hours a week, and slowly started offering makeup and hairstyles for my senior friends for their proms and homecomings.
2012 I enrolled into beauty school, I remember going in for a walk thru all alone scared and excited at the same time. But the determination of being a great teen mom and someone my daughter can look up too was BIG!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Absolutely not, while being in cosmetology school I wanted to Quit so many times. I had to give up a whole year of being with my daughter. I was working and going to school FULL TIME, I would leave to school by 7:30am and get home past midnight from work every single day! I had a dream and bills to pay. Fast forward to 2020, I am in ABSOLUTE disbelief as to what I have become and accomplished, I am a wife, mom of two and I own and run three business, run my own show and I just recently launched my lash line.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
I kinda do it all! I love everything beauty but specialize in Makeup, hairstyle and eyebrow shaping. I have done hundreds of weddings in my career and the most rewarding part of it for me is knowing I was able to make someone feel extra special and beautiful on the most important day of their life. I do tons of maternity, Guests, engagements, you name it.
I think I am most known for the type of services I offer and my style of makeup. All artist are different, so as a client you look for what you want. I try to be Top on what I offer and how I offer it. From the moment you contact me to the moment you leave my chair, I want you to be satisfied. Aside from just being a stylist, I am that person who you trust while you are in my chair, I become a friend who you can vent to, share a happy story with or just be you! I hope to in the future offer training and a bigger space to rent out to other professionals who are just as passionate.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was really passionate, quiet kid. But I always knew I wanted to be someone In life to be successful and inspire others.
