Meet Hexxx

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hexxx.

Hexxx, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started making music in my bedroom when I was a kid. I didn’t have much. All I had was MTV and rap. Growing up in Southern CA I was able to create a name for myself, off of just me and my drive. Like any artist, I went through an experimental rap phase for a few years. But ultimately stayed true to the nature of me – which is a more wicked style. I mean, it was inevitable considering I grew up in Hesperia. Today I have 12 hours of music and a solid fan base that is continuously growing. I’m a well-seasoned artist and just as hungry for success as I ever was.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Hip hop is a competition, and if you’re not always creating – “out of sight out of mind”. I’ve been an artist since the early 2000’s, and there have been many setbacks. One of my recent and biggest struggles was last year 2019, I had three major eye surgeries, that halted performances for a few months. I continued to release music but not being able to perform at live shows, was difficult for me – considering showcases are a huge part of my career. And losing some of my eyesight was tough and now something that I have to live with. The struggles are what make me want to push harder in this music.

Can you give our readers some background on your music?
I’m a Los Angeles rap artist, putting it down for the West Coast Wicked music scene. I’ve lived in Hollywood for nearly a decade and I’m known for having a rap style that delivers dark & melodic vibes while bringing back accents from the 90’s & Y2K eras. I am recognized by many of the greats in my scene for my vision & stage presence, and most proud of the legacy I’ve built this far.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
The plan is to always keep creating and releasing new music. To keep pursuing my dream of reaching as many people as I can with my music. This Fall, I launch my first clothing collection, and it’s something that I’m excited to release seasonally for my fans. My website hexxx.com just launched and now my fans have one place where they can be updated on all of my moves.
