Meet Brothers Jon & Jethro Heravi of Classic Tile & Flooring in Santa Monica

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jon Heravi.

Jon, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
In 1992, Classic Tile & Flooring (CTF) was founded. More than 20 years later, we are still serving our clients in Southern California. As a family run business, you gain access to a rich heritage of expertise, service, and innovation unlike any other.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
During the 2007 financial crisis it was difficult keeping our head above water! By God’s help and careful planning, we overcame the recession and are still going strong thanks to our loyal clients 🙂

Classic Tile & Flooring – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
How do you want your spaces to feel? That question lies at the heart of what we do. Everyone’s idea of how their spaces feel is different and we are persistently motivated to embrace new ideas, to discover the relationship of tile and stone in creative and unforeseen ways. Furthermore, while we are constantly looking ahead to what’s next, our history is embedded in the traditional, so we’ll never disregard the value of simple, proper design done well. At Classic Tile & Flooring, we carry quality products with a pledge to craftsmanship on every level from the design of the tiles, to top quality materials, to utilizing Eco-friendly green factories with generations of experience. Our showroom illustrates an array of all the big name brands from Walker Zanger to AKDO. Every material is carefully selected to ensure they are superior in every way. We carry samples of all our products and design boards.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is peace of mind, which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best you are capable of becoming. When my client’s eyes glow at a design idea I created for them, it’s the most satisfying feeling.
