Meet Megan Pormer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Pormer.

Megan, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started as a child actress and became an ambassador for children’s rights in the Middle East at age five.

I always had a passion to find solutions for various ideas es. When I was very little, I would smash pharmaceuticals and try to invent something new.

My beloved grandfather and my brother both lost their breath in front of me and I brought them back to life with CPR when I was little. Part of me always wanted to understand how to save lives because of that – I saw the joy of someone breathless breathing again.

While studying biomedical engineering at university I realized that the real celebrities of the world are the medical experts and people who spend their lifetime in laboratories and they dedicate their life for discovering cures of diseases. They receive no limelight by media.

I decided to find a way to connect the medical world to the world of media. With Hollywood being the media platform in the world, I moved to Hollywood with a mission.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
My biggest obstacle has been the difficulty I’ve faced with men and their ability to understand that a sexy young middle eastern woman is beyond just an object to look at.

Today I work with some of the biggest brands in the world and I’m happy to say that my core belief system is changing that mindset. I’m finally seeing that there is hope because as woman we really are the leaders in the world. No one in the world should second guess or question that ever.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
What I’m proud of about my business is my capacity to bring health and science into the entertainment matrix. This enables others to learn about the most recent medical discoveries just the same way they learn about the latest beauty trends.

I also own my own media & production company and because I have a huge presence in the Middle East and Europe, I am constantly working with brands from around the world and we are able to produce an entire campaign in house with our creative team under Megan Pormer INC. We create content for social media for TV and we are now going to be working toward motion pictures as well as partnering with Netflix.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
To continue my path to become the first Middle Eastern actress, model, entrepreneur, and activist to build a bridge in Hollywood. I will work through my production company not only to star in movies, tv shows, and documentaries but also to be a part of creating beautiful content that will spread a powerful messages around the world through art.
