Meet Vivian Rivera of Laser Skin Hydration Spa in Westlake Village

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vivian Rivera.

Vivian, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
As founder of Laser Skin Hydration Spa, I began my nursing career in Southern California in 1997, and after years of strenuous education and dedication, I became a Registered Nurse.

I worked in a variety of medical fields before I founded Laser Skin Hydration Spa, such as Hospital, Skilled nursing facilities, and home health care services.

While I loved what I did, I harbored a strong inner desire to pursue launch my own business adventure.

After a great deal of thought and consideration, I narrowed my focus down to the field of medical aesthetics.

So in 2007, I began the process of applying for part-time work in the various aesthetic clinics. While I was ecstatic to embark on my entrepreneurial passion, it wasn’t easy. Being the founder of my own business put an incredible amount of strain on me in the beginning. I had to learn how to balance my nursing schedule and business hours.

At that time, I was employed full-time job as a Director of MDS Clinical Reimbursement, and was promoted as a Director of Nursing for a nursing facility, but I was determined to succeed.

In 2013, I finally went back to school and hit the books again and completed a course in aesthetics. In 2013, I  received my training at A&E clinic to perform laser treatments and injectables, as well as, successfully completing a variety of certification classes in aesthetics.

My skilled nursing experience, along with my motivation, perseverance, patience, effort and time payed off and my dream has led to an exciting and thriving career in medical aesthetics.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road has not at all been an easy one! Some of the most challenging obstacle have been the pursuit of my dream as a single woman, as well as, transitioning from a full-time RN to a business proprietor in terms of risk, salary, and sacrifice; not to mention the time and effort, financial and educational investments of acquiring my degree in nursing. The challenge of starting a new career was immense.

Please tell us about Laser Skin Hydration Spa.
Skin Hydration is three years old. I founded it in 2014 and due to the success of the business, I teamed up with a medical doctor in last April 2016 and combined the Medical Spa + Skin care, we came up to the name Laser Skin Hydration Spa. Under our new medical director, Dr. S. Etehad, a highly esteemed Internal Medicine doctor. We are now a comprehensive skin treatment center that offer a range of skin treatments.

Dr. Etehad’s an Internal Medicine Doctor who has owned his practice for over 26 years in Northridge CA. His extensive medical experience and knowledge has allowed Laser Skin Hydration Spa to provide a full spectrum of advanced anti-aging medical solutions using the most advanced laser technology and state-of-the-art medical aesthetic services in the heart of Westlake Village. Educational advancement training is very important to him, and a golden rule to be a part of his team. Outstanding service is our top priority. Every treatment program is specifically customized to meet our client goal, thus helping them meet their skin concern needs.   • Our Monthly Special is the best deals, Laser treatments $20 and up, triple combination facials $75 and up.
  • Laser treatment Facial / Leg Vein – $140 and up per treatment. This treatment is effective for removing unwanted blood vessels and spider veins from the face and body.
