Meet Derrick Washington of Zone 4 Distribution in “Southridge” Fontana

Today we’d like to introduce you to Derrick Washington.

Z4.Dnice is an artist from South Fontana, California “Southridge”. who’s wordplay and metaphors are very catchy and transparent. Born 24th of June the same day as his father, as Derrick Washington. The name Dnice came about when the MC was the new kid on campus and was known for making nice plays on the football field. Dnice spent most his years coming up playing football and doing music as a hobby free-styling for peers whatever chance he could. Until the summer of 2010, the MC released a single “When I Pull Up” featuring (childhood friend Ky & prod. By cruise). Since then, the MC has released one mixtape “Notorious” and his latest single “DoThe Most” which is apart of his next up and coming project…..The young black entrepreneur also owns a distribution company called “Zone 4” (family-owned) that works directly within the Community he was raised in distributing media, merchandise, & events. Zone 4 Dnice is the real deal & a young boss creating something worth believing in as well as still working a full-time job doing rehab with Mental health youth. There is no knock on this man’s work ethic, vision, or purpose in life by giving people hope and joy when they hear him speak with so much conviction.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not always been a smooth journey being an up and coming recording artist and business owner. It has required me to have a new level of faith & commitment in developing my company and brand… I had to embrace the challenges of my “mind, body and soul” everyday. I have spent enormous amounts of money and time to perfect my craft and build my company. Plus, assemble a monster team to help execute the plan.

Zone 4 Distribution LLC is a company that produces and distributes various forms of products and media on all platforms. It is important for the company to distribute quality forms of media and products while influencing numerous lives through networking and constant organic interactions. As well as producing the Zone 4 Distribution LLC, intends to provide platforms for all people to express creativity and experience authentic individual living transparent lifestyles.

As a company, I am most proud of the fact that zone 4 distribution is able to mentor the youth and give the community something to be part of.

What sets zone 4 distribution apart from others is the level of communication that unlocks a different of access with the people.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was a huge sports fan and a natural born hustler. I had a passion for making money since grade school and playing Football saved me from going off course. I was always one of the comedians out the group and would freestyle time to time. My first love for music came with the drums in church, I remember learning how to play the drums left handed from watching my pops play so much, not knowing he was left handed. But once I heard myself on the mic for the first time and seen the reactions it gave people, the rest was history. I knew I would make music and use my voice to reach people.
