Meet Caesar Osiris of LAB H Media in Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Caesar Osiris.

Caesar, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I grew up in the islands of Puerto Rico, and as a teenager I started getting involved as an actor in theater, film & TV. Working professionally in San Juan allowed me to learn from the best directors, producers and actors the island had to offer. It was at the end of my undergraduate studies at the University of Puerto Rico, where I was part of the Theater department & the Traveling Theater Company when I knew I needed to tell my own stories. I wanted to expand my studies and enroll film school. I got accepted in LA Film school to become a Director and moved to Los Angeles, simultaneously I founded LAB H Media.

The media company started growing “despasito”, but slowly my clients started diversifying and defining more and more. Currently, we create media content, commercials, narrative, documentary and music videos. LAB H Media is dedicated to create content highlighting social consciousness and to inspire a self-sustainable future for our planet.

As the founder and creative director of LAB H Media I get to help companies and artists redefine their vision and place in the world by articulating their image-brand through video content. I also get outsource from other companies and partners as a writer, director and video editor.

Writing songs for other artists in a way got me involved in the music industry and L.A. local music scene. I released three singles produced by L.A. local Leo Salom, “Más Allá”, “Scary Times” and “Isla Chiquitita”. All of them have music videos and in March I am releasing the music video for “Isla Chiquitita”.

I am currently working on a documentary and continuing supplying content for our clients. I also plan on releasing new music this year.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, moving to L.A. was very challenging. Leaving friends and family behind, speaking another language and having an accent wouldn’t always help me get the jobs. I got rejected many times from the jobs I really wanted and in the beginning, I even struggled financially to the point I was homeless for one week. That first year of living in L.A. I worked in a hostel and in one restaurant, and after being harassed by one of the restaurant’s clients I quit and promised myself to never work again as a waiter. It worked.

Even though I am now “established” in my profession, and my company is thriving I still face challenges along the way. But showing up on set and the outcome of my work keep opportunities coming my way, and when they don’t come I create them.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with LAB H Media – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are a full-service, independent production company focused on creating digital media content of the highest quality. We create films and other visual media content, highlighting the stories of individuals, companies, communities and non-profits who are making a difference on Earth.

We seek to create unforgettable moments to encourage, comfort, expose, challenge the way we interact with others and our environment. Sustainability as a long-term well being for ourselves, future generations and our Planet. We produce films and content that are a form of art, not merely to entertain, but to provoke emotion and reflection, incite action, and have long-lasting effects on those who experience them.

Is the same vision for my music, which is just another format I get to express the same ideas that orbit around my head and my vision for what I want to see and experience on the planet.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Currently working on an international documentary, and also my debut feature film screenplay is coming together. Another really exciting bit of news to share is that I’m working with plants and their frequencies in creating a new style of sounds as part of the new music I am releasing this year.
