Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Metro.
Ashley, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I recently moved to Los Angeles about five months ago from Austin, Texas to pursue dreams of becoming an artist. Ive been creating art ever since I could make a mark on paper. Throughout my life, I have expressed myself in many different forms of media it wasn’t until recently that I started painting murals starting on photo paper for photo shoots and events and being translated to walls.
Has it been a smooth road?
Deciding to become an artist has been one of the most risky decisions I have made in my life, my parents have always seen it as a hobby until recently when I emphasized my devotion. I still struggle everyday to be able to follow my dream while living in Los Angeles the city of starving artists. The path I chose is something that is completely dependent on my competency and creating my own future by thinking outside of the box. Right now, every day is like a test to see how much I will sacrifice to achieve my dreams, and honestly I’ve never felt more fulfilled in my life.
What else should our readers know?
I am a freelance artist that specializes in larger pieces and detailed line work that tells a story.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I think that Los Angeles is a great place to start as an artist, there is a powerful community of creatives and passionate individuals.
