Meet Amber Olsen of Antelope Valley Wedding Officiant in Antelope Valley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber Olsen.

Amber, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
The inspiration wheel for Antelope Valley Wedding Officiant began one summer evening, as I sat around drinking coffee and snacking on wedding cupcakes with my mom and aunt after an eventful day as a guest at my brother’s wedding.

We were chatting about the ceremony, and the officiant came up in conversation. My aunt made the comment that I would be “perfect” for the job because of my extroverted personality and my ability to find a connection with most everyone I pull into a conversation. That night, a lightbulb lit up inside of my head, and I began doing research on becoming ordained and learning the ins and outs of officiating weddings.

In my research, I fell more and more in love with the idea of officiating weddings. Not only would I get to meet lots of interesting couples with unique and fun love stories, but would also get to help couples create personalized ceremony scripts that really tell guests about THEM as a couple; their history, their love story.

I’m a fast reader, so within a few days, I had read numerous books, blogs and articles about the topic, and began promoting my services to the local community.

Antelope Valley Wedding Officiant began over a cup of coffee at my parent’s house in South Dakota, and continues to grow and thrive over cups of coffee throughout the Antelope Valley and beyond, as I conduct sit down consultations with amazing, beautiful couples as I help them voice their love story to their friends and family.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I consider myself extremely fortunate that Antelope Valley Wedding Officiant has received the response it has in the wedding industry locally. After attending a handful of fairs in Valencia and Lancaster, my leads list continues to grow in leaps and bounds.

My biggest challenge at the moment is scheduling. In this business, it’s crucial that the business really cater to the schedule of the couple, but as a stay-at-home mom raising a 1 and 3-year-old, it can be a challenge finding someone to watch the kids for a last minute meeting or a weekend wedding when my husband is out of town for work.

I have been fortunate that I have a supportive network of friends that are willing to lend a helping hand to assist me in growing my business and continue to build Antelope Valley Wedding Officiant up in the wedding and events community.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Antelope Valley Wedding Officiant – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Antelope Valley Wedding Officiant specializes in non-denominational, personalized wedding ceremonies in the Antelope Valley and beyond.

Planning a wedding can be stressful. I can help walk couples through every step of the ceremony. I enjoy creating a meaningful, memorable ceremony almost as much as I love being a calm, grounding presence for couples on their big day.

I honor and respect all beliefs and traditions — religious, spiritual, secular or same sex. Because I feel that each couple deserves a wedding that is special to them as a couple, I put a lot of time, energy, and heart into creating and officiating each ceremony.

To tell you a bit about myself, I am a former TV news reporter and radio DJ, so public speaking and networking with a variety of people (even those I’ve just met) comes naturally to me. I enjoy the hope, love and romantic nature surrounding weddings, so I feel as though officiating weddings is a perfect fit for me. I enjoy getting to know a couple, then helping their wedding ceremony dreams come to fruition. I, myself, have been happily married for seven years, and wrote our ceremony and my vows.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My goal for Antelope Valley Wedding Officiant is to position my business as a leader in the local wedding industry.

My plans to accomplish this include attending numerous networking events with like-minded wedding professionals and vendors, participating in both large and small bridal shows and continuing to provide a top-notch service for my clients to gain referrals from friends and family members.
