Meet Free Will of The F.R.E.E. Collection in Windsor Hills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Free Will.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I was born in Oakland California. As long as I can remember I’ve always enjoyed creating things. One can say I’ve always been seeking to design my own world. I was a very imaginative child and my parents allowed me to explore my imagination. As I grew, that imagination manifested itself in several different ways. I developed skills and interests that ranged from poetry, to photography and design.

I moved to Los Angeles roughly four years ago and up until that point had no clear direction for how I was going to turn my abilities into a business. Until one evening of drinking wine and crafting resulted in a hoodie design that became the flag ship merch design for The. F.R.E.E. Collection.

I really just made one hoodie for myself to wear. But, after posting it on my Instagram it received such good feedback that I decided to turn it into a product I would begin marketing. Since people already knew me as a multi disciplinary creator, I quickly decided that instead of only pushing merchandise, I would build a house around all of my creative projects to create capsules of art & product to share with all who would like hold a piece of my world that I am designing.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I believe that turbulence is an inevitable aspect of taking flight. As a creative, it is very easy to constantly live in your head pondering future ventures, projects, etc. Being present and focusing on building brick by brick daily is the test I’m constantly facing. That and maintaining the necessary balance of my work and my mental, physical, & spiritual wellness.

The F.R.E.E. Collection – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
The F.R.E.E. Collection is the house to my personal creative endeavors in which I use colors, words, sounds, images, & symbols to evoke different thoughts and emotions. That may manifest itself in the form of Music, photos, clothing, literature, etc.

The parent company of The F.R.E.E. Collection is F.R.E.E. Creative LLC, which is built to serve more as a creative services and consulting company. We currently take on photography & design clients, mastermind brand strategy & create multimedia content amongst other things. In the very near future, we will be branching out into artist management and community-based outreach. If I had to say what I was most proud of it would have to be that we have not compromised the morals and integrity of our company.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
To me success is freedom and freedom is manifesting a life of fulfillment without impediment. Whatever capacity that is in is up the individual. I do not look for specific markers. It’s really all about how my spirit feels.
