So, before we jump into specific questions about what you do, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am the Founder & CEO of OPPRIME.tv. Let me tell you how and why I have arrived here.
My first job -performed with focused energy while also pursuing a concurrent passion for film and stage acting and filmmaking – was to cold-call computer software publishers. The first sentence of my sales pitch was—“I want to tell you about something that’s going to change the world! It’s called the Internet! Hello? Hello?” Usually after the first sentence, the prospect hung-up. It was 1995. Nobody had ever heard about the Internet, let alone the emerging ability to take a credit card payment from a website. Who were my potential co-call prospects? It was any company with a website that would pick-up when I phoned. This was in the days of huge paper phone books and road maps, standing in lines to buy tickets for anything, and phoning multiple hotels to find at least an adequate room for the few nights you really needed one– a time actually not long after the extinction of the dinosaurs! With my job, I was poised to watch and help usher in the advent of the Internet.
After seven years with my first job, I went on to successfully launch and build my first company. I had thirty-eight employees housed in 7,000 Sq. Ft. of office space. The beating heart of the business was direct-mail marketing. It was 2009, and at this time, the cost of Google Ads was grossly underpriced. Facebook was battling MySpace for market dominance. Social media was at its infancy. However, I understood that marketing’s next evolutionary step was going to take place in a big way on social media. In my mind, I was set to develop groundbreaking and epic marketing campaigns on Facebook and Twitter.
Today, the beating heart of OPPRIME.tv is a drive to develop monumental marketing campaigns, fully energized by my enduring passion for acting, films, and deep respect for the art of the filmmaker, for the films, filmmakers, and film festivals showcased on our platform. Our singular goal is to master marketing on all social media platforms to maximize the exposure of your film to your current fans and multiple potential new customers.
Has it been a smooth road?
My second company was an indie film company, and it became my passion. Unfortunately, it was a failure. OPPRIME.tv was born from the ashes of the failure of my second company. 2014 was a difficult year. I spent the year frequenting West Hollywood and Sunset Strip coffee shops with my laptop, reflecting on my failure. I always asked the question “what did I not do” and “what was I missing?” These are the questions a young man should be asking themselves. I was a middle-aged man. Living with a constant feeling of failure is difficult for anybody. It seemed to make me stronger. It made me a more determined entrepreneur.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with OPPRIME.tv – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
What are We?
We are a Video-on-Demand (VOD) platform at www.opprime.tv. Our direct competitors are Netflix and Hulu. Subscribers pay $2.50 per month to see our library of over 400 award-winning films. Our content is commercial-free and our site is advertising free. Subscribers can also enjoy accessing and viewing our library on a smartphone.
Our Unique Technology:
We use innovations developed in crowd-funding technology to give Independent filmmakers the power to earn revenue from their films. We are a subscription-based service. The independent filmmaker can promote films directly to their social media followers, and they can solicit subscribers from their personal network of friends, family, and colleagues. For our part, we solicit additional subscribers through our marketing and vast social media following.
Our Marketing:
We are aggressive with social media marketing. We develop a marketing campaign for each film, and promote our films and filmmakers every day! We are found on Twitter (@opprime_tv), Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Youtube, and Codias (@opprimetv). Our social media consists of 50,600 followers across these platforms.

I have always loved LA. I love the weather. I love the energy and excitement of the city. There is a palpable feeling that anything is possible in LA. It is a city that is kind to artists.
