Meet Isaura “Izzy” Isais of Izzy Rose Collection in Corona

Today we’d like to introduce you to Isaura “Izzy” Isais.

Isaura, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I quit my retail management career to stay home to help care for my mother while she recovered from several surgeries. It was also an opportunity for me to spend more time with my family. I’ve always enjoyed the arts and considered myself somewhat of a creative person. A few times I would ask another vendor to make earrings for me. I always wanted more and more ranging in colors. Til one day, I began playing with my own earrings and began experimenting. There were several failed attempts but lessons learned. After a couple of months, I figured out what worked and decided to start my own business. I began with the classic hoop style then slowly began incorporating wood, lace, feathers and leather fringe.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I wouldn’t call it a smooth road or a struggle. A big challenge was spending so much money upfront. Branding one’s self is not cheap. Spending time listening to others, going to business seminars, watching videos, just trying to learn to shorten my learning curve. The biggest challenge, however, is a mental one. We have to practice a lot of self-motivation and positive thinking. Nothing will be handed out for free.

Izzy Rose Collection – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I make earrings that tailor to all types of women. My styles range from boho chic, western to streetwear. I am mainly proud of all the support I’ve gotten from both friends/family and especially strangers. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to allow me to add a little something extra to their outfits. Everyone has their own uniqueness. One thing that sets me apart is the ability to offer something a bit different when it comes to our “classic hoops.” Earrings can be worn to the office or to a night out. Most of us women enjoy accessories.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I’m not sure if I have a proudest moment. I do have the ability to meet so many amazing people during pop up events. I truly enjoy having genuine conversations with them. The ability to meet the people behind the “followers” picture and page is a great pleasure of mine.
