Today we’d like to introduce you to Mauricio Garza.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started little over 20 years ago cleaning and marking errands in a recording studio. I learned the profession in the traditional way. By the age 20 I was in charge running the studio. Today I’m a multi-platinum Record Producer I have over 11 Grammy Nominations and own 2 studios here in Los Angeles and we are about to open a new multi facility in Noho.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a difficult road! Among all difficulties music industry has faced in the last years. The greatest challenge is the illegal competition some studio owner do here in The Valley. They fake book you over and over and even send some punks paid for studio time just to blow my speakers more than once. They do this to try to take me out of business. But they couldn’t. People like me we’ve seen it all. We’ve done it all. We’ll prevail and overcome any difficulty. So it’s been a rough but beautiful journey, and it’s just the beginning.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about The Room Studios – what should we know?
I’m an 11 time Grammy nominee recording engineer mixer music producer. I specialize in mixing and I’m known for being a radical recording engineer. I design unique signature sound for bands. I’m proud of our mastering service that it’s been winning recognition in shout outs vs big mastering studios.
