Today we’d like to introduce you to Patricia Perez.
Andrew, Robert, and Patricia were lunch buddies who all worked as techies for their day jobs in Culver City. They all often wished there were a Pho restaurant near them. Nothing around the area offered the kind of taste that appeased their appetites, and the closest place from them were too far to visit during their lunch breaks.
With entrepreneurial and optimistic spirits, they decided to take a leap of faith and open up shop. So, on June 16, 2008, they became the first Pho restaurant in Culver City. Since then, there has never been a dull moment.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As with any labor of love, there are constant challenges that make the path a sometimes perplexing one. Since it was everyone’s first time opening a restaurant, that itself only led to struggles. One of the hardest challenge was getting a beer-and-wine license and obtaining City permits due to the ever evolving rules and regulations. Where do you start? Who do you go to for more information? Who can keep up?
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Pho Show – what should we know?
Our restaurants takes pride in serving Vietnamese / Chinese cuisine for the Culver City and Redondo Beach communities where Asian food is not that saturated. Our popular dishes are the Pho Vietnamese soup, avocado spring rolls, pork banh mi, and orange chicken, to name a few. We also serve beer, wine, sake, and our homemade sangria.
As a company, we are most proud of our staff, especially the veteran employees who have been so loyal. They have been with us through thick and thin, despite all the ups-and-downs that small businesses face. They are such an integral part of our success and future.
